In India, the Sony Alpha 7S III or A7S III has just been released. It is a full-frame mirrorless camera and the successor to the very popular Sony A7S II. With a flip-out touchscreen LCD monitor, a new image processor, 4K 120fps video recording. Among other advanced shooting modes, it offers an improved design. Two memory card slots also appear on the camera, supporting SD and CFexpress Type A cards.
Sony A7S III specifications and features
The latest Bionz XR image processor and a 12.1-megapixel back-illuminated full-frame Exmor R CMOS image sensor are included in the Sony A7S III. On the A7S III, the ISO range has also been increased a little, now going from 40 to 409,600 instead of the 50 to 409,600 range on the A7S II. With 10-bit 4:2:2 color depth, the new camera can now capture 4 K video at 120fps.

It also brings HDMI output capability of 4 K 60p 16-bit RAW video, which Sony claims is the first time in the Alpha series. This full-frame camera can take up to 10fps still images and more than 1,000 continuous lossless RAW images.
The Sony Alpha 7S III uses an auto-focus (AF) Fast Hybrid function that integrates phase detection and contrast detection to allow the camera to monitor subjects over a wide area more quickly. It has AF sensors with a 759 point phase-detection that covers 92% of the image sensor.
With an optional Active Mode for more specialized portable movie recording, the Alpha 7S III features 5-axis optical in-body image stabilization. Sony claims the 9.44 million-dot OLED electronic viewfinder for this camera is the world’s brightest and largest. On the full-frame camera, the menu scheme has been revamped to fit with the articulated touchscreen.

Dual-band Wi-Fi, USB Type-C connector, USB tethering, and a that supports SuperSpeed USB 5GBps data transfer are networking options on the Sony a7S Mark III.
Sony A7S III price
Starting October 14, the Sony A7S III will go on sale throughout all major offline and online stores. For the body only, the camera is priced at Rs. 3,34,990 For Rs. 21,100, and Rs. 40,990 for 80 GB and 160 GB capacities, Sony’s CFexpress Type A memory cards will also go on sale. For Rs. 13,700, Sony’s MRW-G2 card reader will be available.
