Apple will launch the Apple Online Store in India on September 23, offering Apple’s full range and, for the first time, direct support to consumers across the country. The new online store will deliver customers with the same premium experience as Apple Store locations worldwide, provided by online team members who are ready to showcase their expertise.
“We’re proud to be expanding in India and want to do all we can to support our customers and their communities,” said Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail + People. “We know our users are relying on technology to stay connected, engage in learning, and tap into their creativity, and by bringing the Apple Store online to India, we are offering our customers the very best of Apple at this important time.”
The online Apple Store is the most comfortable place to shop for Apple products online, with online Apple experts available to help you with anything from customizing any Mac to customizing new devices. Consumers can consult, receive guidance, and learn about new products directly from Apple, both English and Hindi.
Apple says the Indian online store will offer a “full range of Apple products and support,” including new products announced this week, O’Brien told The Indian Express in an interview. On Tuesday, Apple announced the Apple Watch Series 6, a new iPad Air, and more.
With funding options and an available trade-in program, the Apple Store offers very affordable options online. Students can purchase Mac or iPad with special prices and get discounts on accessories and Apple Care +. In October, users can expect free online today at Apple Sessions, a local creative profession focused on photography and music.
For the festive season only, signature gift wrapping and personalized engraving will be available for selected products. Emoji or text engraving will be available for AirPods in English, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, and English engraving be available for iPad and Apple Pencil.
For the health and safety of Apple’s teams, users, and communities, all online orders from the Apple Store will be shipped without contact. Orders that don’t need a signature will be left at the customer’s doorstep and will only require a verbal confirmation from a safe distance instead of a written signature.
Apple is operating in India for over 20 years, and the company’s ongoing investment and innovation support 900,000 jobs nationwide. Apple’s App Design and Development Accelerator in Bangalore has helped thousands of local developers, and apps developed by developers in India today have become more critical to daily life as people try to stay connected and connected at home.
These include Visa, an AI-based app that provides affordable and accessible mental health support for millions of people. The yoga app Yogi Fi, which provides computer vision for real-time currency optimization and machine learning. India is becoming a progressively significant market for Apple.
